Black Gold Pump & Supply's most popular pump barrel is the chrome plated barrel. This barrel is great for heavily abrasive and corrosive well conditions, with a hardness of Rockwell 67-73. This material should not be used in any acid related jobs due to the material's sensitivity to acid, which causes the chrome to break down in the well.
For higher corrosion wells, we provide special materials such as a nickel carbide coated barrel, brass barrels with chrome plating, and Carbon nitride steel with chrome plating. For wells that have gone through an acid job, we recommend a TBG barrel with the special hard faced coating that will not break down like the chrome will.
