Black Gold Pump & Supply’s Double Displacement Pump is ideal for applications involving restricted pump bore size due to small casing diameters. The pump increases production without having to up size the pump bore or pumping unit. 

On the upstroke, fluid is produced like a normal tubing pump. On the down stroke, the added production is pushed into the production tubing. These pumps are all double valved for improved run life.

  • How does the Double Displacement Pump work? 

    Black Gold Pump & Supply’s Double Displacement Pump is ideal for applications involving restricted pump bore size due to small casing diameters and were there is high stroke per minute wells were the rod, tubing, and pump wear is high. This pump increases production without having to upsize the pump bore or pumping unit. On the upstroke, fluid is produced like a normal tubing pump. On the downstroke, the added production is pushed into special chamber and into the production string. This pump, pumps on the up and down stroke.

  • Does the Double Displacement Pump come in both insert and tubing pump options? 

    Yes they do! We will customise the pumps in accordance to your well requirements in both insert and tubing options. 

  • What is the percentage of production we will see?

    30% is the average per pump and highest seen is 40%.

  • Does this effect my rod loading and gear box loading?

    No since the down stroke is where the added production occurs there is no added loading to the sucker rod, tubing, or gear box loading.

  • How long are these pumps?

    It all depends on the stroke length of your unit but on average the pumps are double in total length.

  • Is there a special process for rod spacing or putting the well online?
