H-TOOL FOR ESP
- Allows survey tools to be run without retracting the ESP
Black Gold's H-Tool allows you to run survey tools without the need to retract their ESP. The ESP motor is installed on the offset of the tool while a blanking plug is installed concentric with your tubing string. To ensure production is not jeopardized, the blanking plug uses a compression spring with a set of seating rings to effectively seal the tubing string.
Depending on the OD of your wireline, an appropriately-sized hole is drilled through the blanking plug, allowing the survey tool to be installed while the ESP is producing. After a job is completed, the survey tool can be retracted, and a filled blanking plug can be ran downhole to continue production.
